About Pearland Pet Resort:

Pearland Pet Resort is located on private property and is not open to the public without an appointment. The resort is a true cage free facility providing a total of 7 private bedrooms in cottages with lake front views (excluding one large suite for destructive dogs) for our guests. We have been praised for providing a more quiet atmosphere for those dogs that get nervous with alot of loud noise. We have a casual country atmosphere and limit our guests which provides more one on one time. We are not a large commercial facility therefore we fill quickly. All proceeds go towards funding Gulf Coast Exotic Bird Sanctuary.

Lavenia is the founder of Gulf Coast Exotic Bird Sanctuary and Pearland Pet Resort. She was previously a veterinary technician and a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator before founding the animal sanctuary and pet resort. She has also done some volunteer work at the Bay Area S.P.C.A.

Frequently Asked Qestions:

Do you have a phone number?

Yes. The phone is at the pet resort with the volunteer on duty so clients can check on their pets. The number is given to clients at the time of drop off of their pet. Reservations and information are done at another location by email to prevent any problems with over booking.

How often is my dog let out?

They are let out four to five times a day. The length of time depends on each dog. Active dogs need more exercise and older dogs most of the time spend less time outside. They pretty much let you know when they are ready to go in.

Are my dogs let out with other dogs?

No. To provide a safe atmosphere you should have more than one person supervising a group off dogs from different homes. They do however get plenty of exercise, attention and play time.

Are my dogs free to roam?

All new boarders are first walked on a leash to see how they react. We need to make sure they show no aggression to birds in aviaries and that they will come back when called since we are on fenced acreage. Dogs react differently when away from home.

Can you give medication?

We will gladly give medication at no extra charge.

Should I bring food?

It is best to bring your own food to prevent loose stool and upset stomach.

Boarding Rates In Private Suite Per Night

Dogs: $35.00 (Each additional dog $20.00)

Cats: $30.00 additional cat $10.00

There are no hidden charges on the above rates.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Times

*Please note I cannot guarantee I will be available if you show up outside of your scheduled pick-up or drop off time as I take one break and that time varies around the daily schedule. Also if there are no boarders, I will arrive at the time of your scheduled drop-off. Thank you for your understanding. *If you need a drop off or pick-up time around the times provided I will do my best to work with you.
